About the RTLDI Atlas
The RTLDI Atlas is an open, reproducible atlas of the conditions that protect human life and allow capital to operate across all 193 United Nations Member States.
Origins and purpose
The project originates in Sid J.A. Hubbard's Causality and Attraction: A Continuum of Steady States, Volume I. The Atlas operationalizes the book's Right-to-Life Protection method: it translates nine institutional protections into country-level classifications, an RTLP score, the Right to Life Deficit Index, and estimates of capital excluded when those protections are absent.
The Atlas is a practice in Nested Causal Modelling and is specifically a Level 4 NCM Intervention. It moves from a causal framework to a public operational system: an inspectable crosswalk, reproducible scoring pipeline, national and global data products, maps, and intervention surfaces that make the modeled constraints visible.

Sid J.A. Hubbard is the Principal Investigator of the RTLDI Atlas Project. He is an independent research technologist designing mathematical and architectural interventions for systemic complexity across economics, governance, technology, and AI.

Production disclosure. At this stage, the entirety of the Atlas project is written, directed, and engineered by its Principal Investigator with the assistance of multiple AI and data-science tools used in research, software development, analysis, validation, and production. Responsibility for the project's methods, decisions, interpretations, and releases rests with the Principal Investigator.
Open source and rights
The RTLDI Atlas repository, including its code, data-processing pipeline, documentation, and generated outputs, is open source under the MIT License. The license permits use, modification, redistribution, and commercial use while requiring preservation of the copyright and license notice.
The underlying theoretical framework and book content are separate works. Causality and Attraction remains under its original copyright and CC BY-NC-ND 4.0 terms; it is not relicensed by the Atlas repository's MIT License.
