Newsboob is a news player I made for myself that does not track you, serve internet ads, or show “skip button”–style video ads. It is a player for international news in the style of the old-school internet.
With the channel drawer open, select AUTO, press START at one moment, then STOP at the next. AUTO uses the interval between those clicks to switch channels repeatedly, starting one interval after STOP. Press START again to measure a new interval; closing the drawer stops AUTO. It never inspects video pixels. Timed modes :30 and :60, or a custom number of seconds, keep their countdowns. Click an active mode again to stop scanning, or press “S” to toggle it. Change channels with the right or left arrow. Up and down changes volume; Spacebar mutes. “C” closes or opens the channel drawer, “F” toggles full screen, and “R” reloads the video if it gets stuck.
This service is free, legal, and not evil. I made it to escape the bubble with another bubble. I’m sharing so I won’t be the only one boobing out in front of it.
